degrees. Winters (October to March) can be cool with temperatures in
Hanoi averaging 10 to 20 degrees in January. Some winter months
experience a light, drizzling rain. In central and south Vietnam, the
“dry” season runs from November to May. Temperatures average between 22
and 30 degrees. The “wet” season is characterized by brief showers late
in the afternoon with temperatures ranging from 25 to 33 degrees. DETAILED ITINERARY Day 1: Saigon Arrival (D)

We
begin our sightseeing around Saigon by visiting the Presidential
Palace, War Museum, Notre Dame Cathedral, Post Office, Cholon, Ben
Thanh Markets and Tien Hau Pagoda. Accommodation. Day 3: Saigon - Mekong delta - My Tho
(B, L)
Explore
the famous Mekong Delta, a region nestled along the river and dotted
with rice paddies and fruit plantations. We take a boat trip to the
local floating markets, experiencing the rural atmosphere with the
local people. Accommodation Day 04 : Saigon - Cu Chi - Tay Ninh
(B, L)
Today
we have an in depth look at the determination and ingenuity of the
Vietnamese and explore the famous Cu Chi tunnels. We continue to Tay
Ninh to experience the midday service at the head temple of the unique
Cao Dai religion. Accommodation Day 5: Sai Gon - Nha Trang
(B, L)
This
morning we board our Vietnam Airlines flight to Nha Trang. This
afternoon we will have a sightseeing tour around this seaside town and
visit the Cham tower ruins. Accommodation. Day 6: Nha Trang
(B, L)
We
spend an enjoyable day cruising around the islands off Nha Trang
visiting the Tri Nguyen Aquarium, Tam Island and a local fishing
village. Lunch is served on board and for the more adventurous amongst
us there will be a chance to cool off with a swim in the waters of the
South China Sea. Accommodation Day 7: Nha Trang - Da Nang - Hoi An
(B, L, D)
This
morning we board our Vietnam Airlines flight to Danang and transfer to
the UNESCO listed town of Hoi An stopping at the Cham Museum en route.
A former merchant trading port, Hoi An is a mixture of Vietnamese,
Chinese, Japanese and French architecture and is a real treasure of
Vietnam. Tonight we enjoy a cooking lesson in one of the local
restaurants. Accommodation. Day 08 : Hoi An (B, L) We
undertake a walking tour of the old centre of Hoi An. We visit old
homes still lived in by descendents of the original merchants, the
Japanese Bridge, Hoi An market and the local Chinese pagoda. This
afternoon is free so you have time to visit the tailors for which this
town is known and soak up the charming atmosphere of the Hoi An and the
Thu Bon River at a riverside cafe. Accommodation Day 09 : Hoi An - Hue (B,L, D) Leaving
Hoi An by coach we visit Marble Mountains and China Beach before
continuing over the Hai Van Pass and arrive at the ancient capital of
Hue. This afternoon visit the UNESCO listed Citadel, home to the former
Vietnamese Emperors in the 19th and 20th Centuries. Accommodation Day 10: Hue (B, L) We
take a cruise on the Perfume River toThien Mu Pagoda and then visit Tu
Duc and Khai Dinh Tombs. This afternoon is free to stroll along the
river front from your hotel. Accommodation.
Day 11: Hue - Hanoi (B, L, D)
This
morning we visit Hue’s largest market, the Dong Ba Market. In the
afternoon we board our Vietnam Airlines flight to the capital of
Vietnam, Hanoi. This evening enjoy a performance of the famous Water
Puppets. Accommodation Day 12: Hanoi (B, L)
Hanoi,
known as the ‘Paris of the Orient’ is filled with beautiful tree lined
boulevards, French villas and natural lakes. Our city tour today
includes visits to Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, stilt house and museum,
Temple of Literature, a walking tour of the Old Quarter and markets,
Hoan Kiem Lake, Tran Quoc Pagoda, Ethnology Museum and One Pillar
Pagoda. Accommodation. Day 13: Hanoi - Ha Long (B, L, D)
Today
we travel to the area that is regarded as the ‘jewel in the crown’ of
Vietnam- Halong Bay. We board our Junk and commence cruising amongst
the spectacular karst rock islands. Spend the night onboard anchored,
relaxing and watching the sunset over Halong Bay. Day 14: Ha Long bay - Hanoi (B, L) This
morning continue exploring Halong Bay and its grottoes and caves before
returning to the wharf and driving back to Hanoi through the striking
rural countryside of the Red River Delta. Overnight in Hanoi. Day 15: Hanoi Departure
Free untill transfer to Noi Bai airport for flying to your next destionation. Ho Chi Minh City
