On the way to Thuan An beach is a water park and
resort that has been built around a natural cold spring -- the water
park includes several hot springs, a wave pool, a wide variety of
waterslides, and a 'massage' pool with numerous shooting jets of water.
It's a great place to take the kids, and the hot springs are quite
popular in during the winter months. It advertises itself as a place
for 'convalescence' in the old European tradition of the 'spa cure,'
but trust us, it's really just a water park. The prices vary depending
on how much of the park you pay to see, but 50,000 VND will get you in
to pretty much everything. If you arrive on an off day, some of the
pools may be closed for cleaning. Also, some of the machinery -- the
wave pool, the massage jets -- may be switched off, but just ask and
they'll switch it on for you. Try hitting the park on a Saturday when
it's fully functional and full of people for a more festive atmosphere.
There are places to buy drinks -- a number of which are bottled
beverages made from the Thanh Tan spring water -- and there's also a
restaurant. ©2012 SkyDoor - The travel information network of Vietnam
