Day 1 HANOI / HAI PHONG / HALONG   (L)

In the morning, transfer by road to the famous Halong Bay. On your way, stop at But Thap Pagoda and at Hai Phong for a sightseeing tour of Vietnam's most important seaport. Lunch will be in a local restaurant. In the afternoon, visit Du Hang Pagoda, Hang Kenh Communal House with its numerous wooden sculptures before continuing to Halong.

Day 2 HALONG / HANOI   (B/L)

After an early breakfast, board a private boat for a 5-hour cruise through the mystical Halong Bay and admire one of the natural marvels of Vietnam. Visit islets, lagoons and caves and weather permitting, enjoy a swim in the clear waters of the Gulf of Tonkin. A delightful seafood lunch will be served on board, before returning to Hanoi later in the afternoon. On the way, stop to visit the traditional ceramic workshop of Chu Dau in Hai Duong.
