
In the morning, drive to Cai Be in the heart of the Mekong Delta. On arrival board a sampan for a trip on the Mekong River and its myriad canals to Vinh Long. Visit an old colonial house, a rice popcorn factory and taste local specialties for lunch. In the afternoon, continue the journey to Vinh Long, the largest town of the Mekong Delta.
Overnight in Can Tho.
After breakfast, board a sampan to visit Cai Rang floating market and a fruit garden (Ba Cong) and then continue to Binh Thuy Ancient House. Observe the rural life and admire the beautiful vegetation along the riverbanks. In the afternoon, drive to Chau Doc, near the Cambodian border. On the way, enjoy a short walk along the country paths to a village where bamboo baskets are made.
Overnight in Chau Doc.
After breakfast, travel through a fascinating floating village where fish are bred in their natural environment and learn more about Cham culture while visiting a small village and its mosque. In the afternoon, visit Sam Mountain, the popular pilgrimage site with a collection of Chinese, Cham and Khmer temples and then continue to Tri Ton, a place renowned for its numerous Khmer sanctuaries. Return to Chau Doc in the afternoon.
Overnight in Chau Doc.
After breakfast, return to Ho Chi Minh City by road via Cao Lanh. On the way, stop at Vinh Trang Pagoda. Arrive in Ho Chi Minh City by the end of the afternoon.
