Day 1 HO CHI MINH CITY / CAI BE / TRA ON   (L/D)

Depart from your hotel and drive to Cai Be in the heart of the Mekong Delta. En route visit the Cao Dai temple at Ben Luc before boarding the Bassac around noon. The Bassac is a converted and fully equipped traditional rice barge. After getting acquainted with the crew, cast off for a memorable cruise to Cho Lac. Whilst on board, enjoy a local lunch. Later, you can relax on the upper deck. In the middle of the afternoon, we weigh anchor and visit a village on the banks of either the Co Chien or Mang Thit River where you can sample tropical fruits before returning aboard the Bassac to enjoy the sunset. Local dinner on board as the boat reaches its destination near Phuoc Hau Pagoda in Tra On.

Day 2 TRA ON / CAN THO / HO CHI MINH CITY    (B/L)

In the morning, enjoy a Western style breakfast while the ship navigates the Tra On floating market before continuing to Can Tho. Arrive in Cai Rang, check out of the ship and board a small local boat to visit the floating market and the nearby arroyos and gardens. Disembark at Can Tho and stroll through the market before having lunch in a local restaurant. Drive back to Ho Chi Minh City at the beginning of the afternoon. Arrive by the end of the afternoon.
