HALF DAY TO HUE GARDEN-HOUSES AND TRADITIONAL CRAFT VILLAGES

Depart from our office at 08.00 or 13.30 by bicycle to get boat trip on Perfume River to visit Thien Mu Pagoda. Bike ride to visit the community of garden-houses in Phu Mong and some traditional craft villages, just 5km far away from the centre of Hue city. Meal at local house. Back to hotel by bicycle.

HUE 02B

This program will take you to the most famous handicraft villages in Hue. The first stop will be hat making village of Phu Cam, where you can witness the whole process to make Hue hat ("non Hue"), symbolized the beauty of Hue women. Then you will visit embroidery village of Kim Long to discover how they can embroider a whole picture. Next stop will be the bronze casting village, one of the most well known bronze casting centers to produce different kinds of products, from a small vase to large burner. In this half day, you also have a chance to see some the finest garden-houses in Hue.

Depart from your hotel at 08.00. Boat trip on Perfume River to visit Thien Mu Pagoda - one of the most famous pagoda structures in Vietnam, Hon Chen Temple and Minh Mang Tomb. Afternoon a continuation to visit Tu Duc Tomb and Khai Dinh Tomb by car. Back to hotel at around 17.00.

It is said that King Tu Duc who ruled from 1848 to 1883 lived a life of truly imperial luxury: at every meal, 50 chefs prepared 50 dishes served by 50 servants and 50 artists to play music and dance. Royal meal became a kind of special talk (story) in cultural life of Vietnam. Preserving valuable traditional customs, from 1990, Huong Giang Tourist Company has offered a special service to its distinguished guest: a Royal dinner for those who are in at the first time. Depart from your hotel at 08.00. Visit Ngu Hanh Son (Marble Mountains) and Cham Museum. Transfer to Hoi An. Overnight in Hoi An. Next day visit Hoi An Ancient Town. Back to Hue or transfer to Da Nang Airport / Railways for your next departure.

Da Nang is the Vietnam's third largest city, with population of around 1,000,000. Da Nang is slated to become the major economic center in the central Vietnam. Go back in time, Da Nang was where the Sa Huynh culture flourished during the Iron Age, over 3,000 years ago. The first inhabitants of the region were the ancestors of the Cham people. The Cham Museum in Da Nang is home to the world's largest and finest collection of the Cham sculpture, with over 300 sandstone pieces exhibited in a building constructed in 1915 by the Ecole Francaise d'Extreme -Orient. Many of the sandstone carvings such as altars, lingars, garudas, ganeshas and images of Shiva, Brahma, and Vishnu are absolutely stunning. This museum is a place you can visit again and again.

Hoi An used to be an ancient port town, it was one of the Southeast Asia's major international ports during the period between the 17th and 19th centuries. Today parts of Hoi An look exactly as they did a century and a half ago. Hoi An still preserves hundreds of houses built of precious wood in a very original style of architecture, either one or two storeys, in their complete wholeness. There is Japanese quarter linked with a Chinese neighbourhood by Japanese Covered Bridge, which was constructed in 1593 by the Japanese Community in Hoi An. The Chinese community in Hoi An is fond of many temples and Assembly Halls, which are worth visit.

HUE - DMZ - HUE

From 1945 to 1975, the Ben Hai River served as demarcation line between the North and the South of Vietnam. The Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) consisted of an five km to either side of the demarcation line. But during the war, the Southern area of DMZ was one of the most bloodiest battlefield. This full day tour to DMZ will take you to visit the Frame of the Church, Dong Ha Town, Hien Luong Bridge, Bien Hai River and Vinh Moc Tunnels along High way N.1. HUE - DMZ - PHONG NHA CAVE - HUE

The first day is to visit DMZ: visit Frame of the Church, Dong Ha Town, Hien Luong Bridge, Ben Hai River, Tunnels of Vinh Moc and Tunnels� Museum, RockPile, Dakrong Bridge, Ho Chi Minh Trail and ethnic minority village. A continuation to Dong Hoi Town. Overnight in Dong Hoi. Next day visit Phong Nha Cave, the World Natural Heritage.

This would be incomparable trip in the central part of the country. Phong Nha Cave is always considered as the second most beautiful cave in the country. The mail tunnel of Phong Nha cave is 1451 metres in length and has 14 halls with great variety of stalactites and stalagmites. The Cham utilized the grottoes of Phong Nha Cave as Buddhist sanctuaries in the 9th and 10th centuries. The remain of Cham altars and inscriptions can still be seen.

You will arrive in Son River and take a boat ride into Phong Nha Cave. The boat will take you along the large river galleries for 700 metres where a large dry passage is found. You can walk along for around 500 metres amongst huge stalactites and stalagmites. The cave is so picturesque and unspoiled.
