Approximately one hour by air is the most convenient way to reach the valley of Dien Bien Phu. Travel to this region offers the best opportunity to meet and greet people of ethnic-minority hill tribe groups, from the timid White Thai to the gregarious Hmong. But remember that responsible tourism is greatly appreciated.

Day 1: HANOI-DIEN BIEN PHU

Morning depart to Dien Bien Phu by air plane. Afternoon tour will start after your lunch at the town's best local restaurant. Today you'll find a memorial and a quiet park that makes a good perch to get the lay of the land. A re-creation of the Bunker of Colonel Christian De Castries is a must to visit. Just south, at the foot of the hill A1, is the Dien Bien Phu Cemetery with mostly unmarked graves of the fallen. A grand compound at the entrance is the Vietnamese version of The Wall in Washington, but here are the names of soldiers who died at Dien Bien battle field. Just near by is Dien Bien Phu Museum where houses important relics, photos, and displays that chronicle the long struggle of revolution and the big Vietnamese victory over the French in 1954. On the way passing by Muong Thanh rice field, you will have a glimpse at the town's local market Ban Phu. Overnight in your Hotel.

Day 2: DIEN BIEN PHU

After breakfast, we journey to relics Muong Phang, 25 km away to the East from town where General Vo Nguyen Giap stayed during the world famous Dien Bien Phu Campaign. Lunch in Pa Khoang Lake. Afternoon, return to town, free to explore the daily life in the local market, shopping yourself to buy their specialties like "Nep Nuong", Thai Nguyen Green Tea" or visit  French War Memorial & Hoang Cong Chat Temple. Overnight in your Hotel.

Day 3: DIEN BIEN PHU- HANOI

After breakfast, depart to Hanoi. End of service
