Tour: Trekking to the home of Thai people


This trip offers you an off-the-beaten track trekking adventure in the north-west highlands of Mai Chau, a visit to the local H’mong and White Thai villages and overnight stays in traditional stilt houses. Starting and finishing in Ha Noi, this add-on tour gives you an excellent overview of some of Viet Nam's ethnic minority communities.  We spend five nights in the ethnic minority villages walking an average of five hours a day, so participants in this tour should be in good physical condition. 

 

SUMMARY PROGRAM

 

Day 01: Ha Noi - Hoa Binh - Hang Kia (transfer + trek). Homestay overnight.

Day 02: Hang Kia - Cun Pheo (trek). Cun Pheo village inhabited by the White Thai homestay overnight.

Day 03: Cun Pheo - Van Mai (trek). Van Mai village where we stay overnight in a lovely house.

Day 04: Van Mai – Pom Koong (trek).  Homestay overnight in a typical Thai house.

Day 05: Pom Koong - Ha Noi (bus–boat). B y boat and on foot, we visit a Dzao village.
