2 Days to Halong - Cat Ba Island

Cat Ba national park is 15,200 hectares in area, 9,800 of which hectares is forest, and the other 4,200 hectares sea. Just around 4 hour and a half from Halong Bay, this journey lets you cruise amongst the thousands of islands of Halong Bay, walk Cat Ba Island's nature trails, enjoy the fresh seafood of the area, see the local floating villages, relax on one of the many beaches, explore villages or simply swim to your heart's content.

DAY 1: HANOI - HALONG - CAT BA

0800 depart for the 3.5-hour drive to Halong City, along the way you will pass through the Red River Delta Region.

Arrive in Halong City late morning and board your boat for the journey to Cat Ba.

A seafood lunch will be served en-route.

On your cruise o Cat Ba visit Hang Sung Sot which is one of the largest and most beautiful caves in Halong Bay. Inside there are three chambers of typical limestone karst with an impressive variation of stalagmites and stalactites.

As you go deeper into the Bay you’ll pass by Hang Toi ( Toi Cave) and Cua Van Fishing Village.

If the weather is fine, stop at Ba Trai Dao Beach for a swim. Arrive Cat Ba in Gia Luan Pier. Your car will be there to transfer you to hotel. Overnight in your hotel on Cat Ba Island.

DAY 2: CATBA - HAIPHONG - HANOI

Following breakfast at your hotel there are two options on what to do for the day: Either relax on the beach or take a drive to Cat Ba National park for a half days light trek. ( this option is at your own pace and payment)

In the afternoon, depart for the 1 hour hydrofoil trip to Haiphong City where your private car will be waiting for you for the drive back to Hanoi, arrival time will be in the late afternoon.
