4 DAYS IN HANOI - LANG SON - CAO BANG - BA BE LAKE - THAI NGUYEN - HA NOI

Day 1: HA NOI - LANG SON
Pick up at hotel. Drive to Lang Son ( 2.5 hours), stopover to visit But Thap pagoda on the way. Transfer to basic hotel. Lunch at local restaurant. Afternoon, visit Nhi Thanh and Tam Thanh caves, To Thi rock, fairy Pagoda and Ky Lua market. Dinner and accommodation.

Day 2: LANG SON - CAO BANG
Breakfast. Depart to Cao Bang (4 hours). Transfer to basic hotel, lunch. Afternoon: drive 50 km to visit Pac Bo, former head quarters of the Viet Minh freedom fighters led by Ho Chi Minh in the 1940s. Enjoy beautiful landscapes dotted with the villages of the Tay and Nung minorities. Dinner and accommodation.

Day 3: CAO BANG - BABE Lake
Breakfast. Drive to Cho Ra (3.5 hours) and Ba Be national park. Transfer to basic hotel, lunch. Afternoon boat trip down stream the Nang River in to Ba Be Lake, exploring the National park by boat with stops to visit the limestone grottoes and Tay and Nung ethnic minority villages. Enioy the peace and tranquility of the unspoiled tropical jungle, emerald waters, limestone mountains and the tribal lifestyle. Dinner and accommodation.

Day 4: BA BE - THAI NGUYEN � HA NOI
Breakfast. Drive to Thai Nguyen, lunch at local restaurant. Visit Ethnology Museum to see its rich displays of the cultures of the various ethnic groups of Viet Nam. Return to Hanoi.
