Ha Noi - Ninh Binh – Mai Chau & Hoa Binh Ethnic Areas – Sa Pa Mountainous Resort – Ha Long Bay – Cat Ba Island
DAY 1: HA NOI – ARRIVAL (D)
Welcome you at Noi Bai International Airport of Ha Noi capital. Get to
down town by driving through suburban countryside of the grandiose Red
River delta. Get the room in your comfortable hotel for relaxing. Visit
the Van Mieu Temple ( Temple of Literature ) – The first university of
Vietnam built in 11 th century. Go round the Old Quarter and Hoan Kiem
Lake on a cyclo like a Lord to view the most exciting part of Hanoi.
Welcome dinner in a typical Vietnamese restaurant. Night in Hanoi DAY 2: HA NOI – NINH BINH (B, L, D)
We visit the peaceful capital decorated by tree lines along streets. Join the stream of people to visit the Mausoleum of Ho Chi Minh and his wooden house in a respect manner towards the greatest leader of the country. Drive southwards to Ninh Binh town to visit unspoiled villages and immense rice fields in the center of the Red river’s Delta. Visit Bich Dong Temple and relics of Hoa Lu ancient Kingdom belonging to Dinh dynasty in 10th century. Get on a small boat to row along the small canal in the rice fields to visit Tam Coc Caves considered as “Halong Bay on land”. Night in Ninh Binh town.
DAY 3: NINH BINH - CUC PHUONG – MAI CHAU (B, L, D)
Visit Cuc Phuong National Forest to see and study precious tropical
creatures here such as: 1000 – year Tree, Araliaceae, Fagaceae, Caves
of Primitive Human – who lived here 7,000 years ago. Transfer to Mai
Chau district in Hoa Binh province - home of the White Thai minority
people. We see picturesque sceneries along the way. Dinner and enjoy
the performance of Ethnic dances. Overnight at house-on-stilts in Mai
Chau mountainous district. ( With basic condition of bed room ). DAY 4: MAI CHAU – HOA BINH – HA NOI (B, L, D)
Trekking to visit a Thai minority village at Ban Lac to have more experiences on ethnic tribal life. Leave Maichau for Hanoi. The road is in good condition but it curves up and down the mountains. Then our tour today is somehow an adventure and discovery tour. On the way, we stop to visit majestic hydro-electric Power Plant in Hoa Binh town which produces great part of electricity for the country. Arrive to Hanoi capital, left behind you deeply memory on the land and people of the northwestern Vietnam. Transfer to Ha Noi Railway Station for Victoria Express train to Sa Pa, depart at 22:00 P.M. Overnight on the train in superior compartment (soft berth air-con).
DAY 5: SAPA (B, L, D)
Arrive in Lao Cai town at 08:00. Transfer to Sa Pa, the best resort of
the Northern Vietnam with cool climate all year round. Trekking to
visit villages of H’MONG and DAO minority people. Visit Silver
Waterfall and Caumay bridge ( a suspending bridge made of rattan) on
the swirling water. Trekking to visit Ham Rong mountain. Enjoy the
landscape of the town and its surroundings with cool air for all year
round . View the highest mountain in Vietnam – the Mt.Pansifan in the
south –west. Evening visit Love Market (on Saturday only). Night in
Sapa. DAY 6: SA PA – HA NOI (B, L, D)
Visit colorful Sapa market with a lot of minority peoples taking part in, to buy some speciality of this unforgettable mountainous area. Leaving SaPa for Lao Cai city to catch Victoria Express train (Superior Compartment with soft berth air-con ) departing at 10:10 A.M. to return to Ha Noi. The way will lead you go from mountainous area to low plain, with thousands of beautiful pictures: rice fields, corn fields, waterfalls, minority villages … Night in Ha Noi.
DAY 7: HA HOI – HAI PHONG – CAT BA (B, L, D)
Leave for the sea-port Hai Phong. Hydrofoil to Cat Ba Island- one of
the 4 biggest islands in Vietnam. Check in hotel in Cat Ba. Barbecue
sea food lunch. Take a motorbike to tour to Trung Trang Cave by going
through deep forests of Cat Ba National Park, Relax at your hotel beach
in the late afternoon. Night in Cat Ba island. DAY 8: CAT BA – HALONG BAY (B, L, D)
Proceed to Halong by boat. Today we have the whole day on the beautiful blue- water Ha Long Bay, a natural heritage of the world. Visit various charming islands scattering here and there in the bay. Get to see natural caves named : Thien Cung, Dau Go and Surprising, which locate at the different islands with extraordinary shapes of stalagmites and stalactites. Lunch on the boat with fresh sea food. Night in Ha Long city.
DAY 9: HALONG BAY – HANOI (B, L, D)
Drive back to Hanoi. We view the beautiful landscapes of the countryside along the way with boundless rice fields interposed by villages and orchards. We stop to visit a handicraft enterprise producing the souvenir articles by handicapped peoples at Hai Duong town. At leisure in the afternoon. Farewell dinner at a luxury restaurant at Hoan Kiem Lake. Night in Hanoi.
DAY 10: HA NOI – DEPARTURE (B)
Shopping. Transfer to Noi Bai international airport for departure.
