Day 1: Hanoi – Sapa (L)
You will be picked up at the hotel. Transfer by road to Sapa, 385 km from Hanoi.
Lunch en route. “Sapa remains a gem” somebody talked about Sapa. Despite the
countless thousands of tourists who have poured in every year for the past
decade it has retained its charm and beauty. Overnight in Sapa.
Day 2: Sapa (B)
After breakfast, a half day trip in Sapa exploring this charming town. Tour
includes the Central Church which was built in 1930, the Dragon’s Jaw Hill from
where you will have an excellent views of the town, … Visit the Black Hmong and
Red Dao community. Free for leisure. Overnight in Sapa.
Day 3: Sapa – Dien Bien Phu (B–L)
Breakfast at the hotel. Leave Sapa early in the morning for Dien Bien Phu (DBP).
DBP was the site of the last calamitous battle between the forces of Viet Minh
and the French. Lunch. An orientation tour in DBP new town. Overnight in DBP.
Day 4: Dien Bien Phu – Son La (B–L–D)
After breakfast, visit the former battlefield, French War Memorial and the
Historical Museum. Lunch. Leave for Son La by road in the afternoon. The road
passes close to several particularly attractive villages each with suspension
footbridge and fascinating hydraulic works of Black Thai and Muong people.
Dinner. Overnight in Son La.
Day 5: Son La – Hoa Binh (B–L)
Breakfast at hotel. Depart for Hoa Binh – a nice town on the banks of the Da
River. Lunch in the beautiful Mai Chau valley. Enjoy the performance of the
minority ethnics group. Overnight in Hoa Binh.
Day 6: Hoa Binh – Hanoi (B)
After breakfast, return to Hanoi by road, a journey of about two and a half
