Day 1: HANOI / HOA BINH / MAI CHAU (L/D)

Pick up at your hotel and drive to the Thai minority village of Mai Chau via Hoa Binh in the heart of Tonkin. En route stop at a local market where you might meet some minority people, then visit Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant.

Lunch in Mai Chau village on arrival.

In the afternoon, visit the Ban Lac minority village then enjoy a light trek through the rice fields and springs to reach Nhot Village. Continue to Na Meo Village(Thai minority) located at the foot of the mountain.

Dinner and overnight in Mai Chau in a traditional rudimentary stilt house.

Option 2

Dinner and overnight in Mai Chau at Mai CHau Lodge.

Day 2 : MAI CHAU / HANOI (B/L)

After breakfast, bicycle tour to the neighbouring minority villages (Van Mai Hamlet). Pass by Poom Coong village for lunch the return to Mai Chau and drive back to Hanoi. On the way back, stop to visit a silk village in Ha Dong. Arrive in Hanoi late in the afternoon.
