Northern Sundowners
This is an eight day golfing adventure to three of the finest golf courses in the North of Vietnam. There’s also plenty of cultural highlights to enjoy and time for sightseeing and shopping!
‘Hoa Binh is quite mountainous and has a lot of granite and limestone cliffs popping out of everywhere. The greens are generously-sized and have some fabulous contours. The holes have amazing elevation changes which provide for some very dramatic tee shots.
There are enough VIP guest rooms to house a PGA Tour event. The changing and shower facilities are all top notch. Next door to the clubhouse is a hotel which is built to five-star standards and the golf courses have only one possible word to describe them – exotic. If you’re looking for a very memorable round of golf, head to Dragon Phoenix Golf Resort and remember one other thing...bring your camera and a lot of film.’
Set amongst the spectacular scenery of the Tam Dao mountain area the Tam Dao golf course consisting of lakes, running streams and strategic bunkering, provides an exciting challenge for golfers. A variety of tee boxes on every hole will cater for players of all levels and from the championship tees, measuring over 7,200 yards (6,600 metres) experienced amateurs and professionals will be required to use every club in the bag to conquer the challenging par 72 layout...its a fun day and recommended for all golfers!
Golfing
Day 1 Arrive Hanoi. Journey by cyclo to dinner and enjoy a late evening performance of water puppets.
Day 2 Guided sightseeing or free day to discover Hanoi, Vietnam's artistic and intellectual capital. Explore the fascinating Old Quarter, lunch in a French colonial villa. Visit tops museums and sights.
Day 3 Enjoy a round of golf in one of the finest golf resorts - King's Island Golf Resort. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 4 Drive South east of Hanoi to the amazing Dragon Phoenix Golf course (opened in 2006). Overnight at the resort.
Day 5 Enjoy a morning of golfing. Drive to Mai Chau for lunch and check into comfortable eco lodge for overnight.
Day 6 Cycle or gentle hike to explore minority villages in the beautiful Mai Chau Valley. Return to Hanoi in the afternoon.
Day 7 Drive into the hills to Tam Dao. Day golfing. Overnight Tam Dao.
Day 8 Return to Hanoi. At leisure until transfer to the airport for onward flights.
