Day 1: Arrival Ha
Noi
After arriving in Noi Bai Airport (35 km
from downtown Ha Noi), you will be greeted by our guide and then
transferred downtown for check-in at the 5-star Sofitel Metropole Hotel.
Welcome dinner at a typical Vietnamese restaurant with folk show.
Overnight in Ha Noi.
Day 2: Cooking lesson and city tour of Ha Noi
Morning start with a walk to the local
market, where you get a chance to learn all about Vietnamese
ingredients. A cooking demonstration will follow, which takes place
directly in the kitchen and where everyone has the chance to get
involved. After the class lunch will be served to sample all the
different dishes prepared during the demonstration. Afternoon visit to
Temple of Literature, Hoan Kiem Lake and Ngoc Son Temple. Enjoy a one
hour cyclo ride around the Old Quarter. After dinner, enjoy the
incredible Water Puppet performance.
Day 3: Ha Noi - Ha Long Bay
Head out of Ha Noi to the World Heritage
listed Ha Long Bay. Explore the mystery and beauty of Ha Long Bay during
a five hour cruise. Enjoy a leisurely boat trip through the bay stopping
to explore some of the many islands, caves and grottoes. Enjoy a lunch
of freshly caught seafood on board. Dinner and overnight in Ha Long Bay
at the 4-star Ha Long Plaza Hotel.
Day 4: Ha Long Bay - Bac Ninh - Ha Noi
Drive to Bac Ninh Province and visit Quan
Ho village, the cradle of Vietnam traditional music and theatre. Enjoy
special music performance by the locals in the temple. Lunch in Ha Noi.
Aternoon free at leisure. Dinner and overnight in Ha Noi.
Day 5: Ha Noi - Hue
Transfer to the airport for flight to the
Imperial city of Hue. You will be met at Phu Bai Airport then
transferred downtown for check-in at the 4-star Huong Giang Hotel. Visit
to Imperial Citadel, Dong Ba Market. Lunch at local restaurant. Aternoon
a continuation to visit Tu Duc and Khai Dinh tombs. After dinner, enjoy
Ca Hue (with a performance of traditional music on the boat) on the
Perfume River.
Day 6: Cooking Lesson for Vietnamese Royal Cuisine
Today you will learn how to cook some of
the most famous Vietnamese Royal foods. All of the lessons and practice
will be done in the best kitchen in Hue: Huong Giang Hotel. Lunch at the
hotel. Aternoon boat trip on the Perfume River to Thien Mu Pagoda built
on the bank of the river. Dinner and overnight in Hue.
Day 7: Hue - Ho Chi Minh City (former Saigon)
Transfer to Phu Bai Airport for flight to
Ho Chi Minh City. Meet at the airport then transfer to downtown for
check-in at the 5-star Sofitel Plaza Saigon Hotel. Lunch at a local
restaurant. Afternoon half-day city tour will include an orientation
tour of Saigon's main boulevards, Notre Dame Cathedral, the splendid
Post Office and the bustling Ben Thanh Market. Dinner and overnight in
Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 8: Cooking lesson at the Vietnam Cooking Center
In the last cooking lesson, you will learn
some of the best southern dishes: Caramel Pork, steamed rice in coconut
juice and Sour Fish Soup or 'Canh Chua'. Lunch will be there. Afternnon
free at leisure or go shopping. Dinner and overnight in Ho Chi Minh
City.
Day 9: Ho Chi Minh City - Departure
Your day is free until transfer to Tan San Nhat Airport for your departure flight.
