Saigon to Hanoi
This Saigon to Hanoi bike tour is led by experienced cycling guides. We have a back up vehicle that will support the family and allow tired members to take a break when needed. Healthy local snacks, water and fruit are available in the vehicle at any time. Most of the accommodation on this trip is three or 4 star. We have selected the most interesting hotels in each destination.
This is a moderate cycle tour that combines a perfect blend of cycling on Vietnam’s quiet back roads with rest days, sightseeing and comfortable, unique accommodation. The adventure is suitable for family members from 5 years old onwards.
The highlights of this tour include fabulous scenery, great riding, visiting fascinating museums, pagodas and mausoleums, meeting local people, travelling by train and boat, discovering the charms of the central coast and finally reaching the capital city of Hanoi. This adventure can also be extended for families wishing to visit other sights in Northern Vietnam, such as Halong Bay and the extreme North.
Biking
Day 1 Arrive Saigon. Bike briefing and city tour. Wildlotus will show you how to ride safely.
Day 2 Cu Chi Tunnels ride. Afternoon cool down at the Saigon Water Park for fun and frolix!
Day 3 Transfer to Dalat. Mountain bike on tracks and trails through fruit orchards and tea plantations (up to 15kms)
Day 4 Dalat – Nha Trang Ride. Cycle or transfer 80km to Nha Trang along a spectacular remote mountain road, sure to be a highlight of the trip.
Day 5 Nha Trang day ride or relax at the beach, overnight in charming ecolodge located in the countryside 15km from Nha Trang city.
Day 6 Nha Trang – Danang – Hoi An. Morning flight to Danang. Transfer to Hoi An, a UNESCO world heritage site. After a guided tour by bike, the afternoon free to discover more at the family’s leisure.
Day 7 Hoi An countryside ride with picnic lunch.
Day 8 Hoi An - Lang Co beach. Cycle the spectacular Hai Van Pass to one of the most beautiful, undiscovered beaches in Vietnam, located on the Lang Co Peninsular. Overnight in simple bungalow on the beach.
Day 9 Lang Co – Hue Peninsular ride. Cycle 40km to Hue on a quiet coastal road.
Day 10 Hue – Hanoi. Discover Hue by boat and bike then overnight on the reunification express train to Hanoi.
Day 11 Enjoy a lie-in and rendezvous late morning for a treasure hunt by cyclo in Hanoi’s old quarter. Its a great way to get to know the city!. Afternoon at lesiure before transfer to the airport for onward flights.
