Our trip starting from your hotel to Ho Chi Minh Complex, where we will
spend a couple of hour to visit: Ho Chi Minh's mausoleum, his former
stilt-house residence, the Presidential Palace, the Ho Chi Minh museum
and one pillar pagoda. Keep going to see the Temple of Literature:
Originally built as a temple to Confucius, this is the site of
Vietnam's first university dating back to 1070. Inside are the stone
stele mounted on the backs of turtles, inscribed with the names of the
university's graduates. The complex is divided into five courtyards
with different paths that would originally have been reserved for the
Emperor and his mandarins. One of the courtyards contains the statue of
Confucius guarded by two beautiful bronze storks standing on turtles.
The temple highlights the importance that Vietnamese society placed
then and now on education. Lunch will be served “Cha Ca” famous Hanoi
cuisine. Today
we are heading to the northeast of Hanoi to Ha Long bay. After few
hours drive, we are welcomed on board of Halong Ginger and set sail
through bay while lunch is served. Passage into the magical bay, where
thousands of sculpted limestone islands rise from the waves like
dragons’ teeth. After lunch, take a short trek to a nearby summit for a
panoramic view of the bay dotted with Halong Ginger golden sails, go
swimming on a quite beach or sunbathing on the sundeck. Later
afternoon, visit an interesting fishing village with opportunity to
interact with fish men who have been living in the bay for almost three
generations. At sunset time, kayak or simply take a bamboo rowboat to
discover a water tunnel with many coral reefs in a scenic lagoon. Back
on board Halong Ginger, enjoy cocktails while watching sunset and later
unwind at Ginger restaurant. Greet
the day with a morning Tai Chi exercise with an opportunity to view the
sunrise over the bay. After breakfast, visit beautiful limestone grotto
then back to the boat for a final glimpse of the Halong Bay while
cruising back to the dock for our return back to Hanoi.
After breakfast, we will be transferred to the airport to take flight
to Hue. Upon arrival in the airport, we will be welcomed by our tour
guide and transferred to have lunch will be serve in a typical
Vietnamese cuisine in Hue l and then transfer to the hotel. In the
afternoon, we will visit Imperial city, Dong Ba market. Overnight in
the hotel. In
the morning, we will take a dragon boat to cruise along the Perfume
River. We will pause to visit Thien Mu pagoda, one of the best-loved
architectural pagodas in Vietnam considered by many as the unofficial
symbol of Hue. It is an active Buddhist monastery with its origins
dating back to 1601. One of the most poignant displays is a car
belonging to a former monk who, in 1963, drove to Saigon and set
himself alight to protest against the treatment of Buddhists by the
S.Vietnamese regime. After that, we will continue our boat trip to the
majestic and scenic Emperor Minh Mang tomb. You are free at leisure in
the rest of afternoon. We
travel through the high pass of Hai Van with its spectacular views of
the Pacific Ocean en route to Hoi An. Once a flourishing trading port
servicing south East Asia, this quaint riverside town still boasts a
wealth of century’s old traditional architecture. The influences of
several Asian cultures can be seen in the old houses and waterside
buildings. It is also famous as a place to be instantly created
inexpensive tailored outfits. In
1995, UNESCO recognized Hoian as a world Heritage site. Hoian was a
thriving international commercial seaport for Chinese, Japanese,
Portuguese, Dutch, English, French, and Arab traders. These people came
to trade primarily for many things, especially for high quality silk,
which are still produced in the area. Today Hoi An is a quaint
riverside town popular among tourists for it charming architectures,
souvenir and tailor shops, and café. Some of the lovely buildings in
the narrow streets have change a little over some hundred years. In the
morning today we enjoy the walking tour through the narrow winding
streets of the Old town visit FuKien assembly hall, the 200 year old
Tan Ky house, the Japanese cover bridge, Hoi An museum, the handcrafts
workshops, and Hoian market. In the afternoon we take short boat ride
to visit Thanh Ha pottery village, Kim Bong woodcarving village, and
the boat-building yard. You are free at your leisure.
Today we will take the flight to Ho Chi Minh City in the early
afternoon, after short flight, we will be transferred to the hotel. The
rest of the day, you are at leisure. Our
tour starts at 08:30 and ends at 17:30. We depart our hotel for the
Reunification Palace, the former Presidential Palace for the president
of the South of Vietnam. After that, we will visit War Remnant Museum,
where you can see countless artifacts, photographs and pictures
documenting about the second Indochina war. Before our lunch, we stop
at Notre Dame Cathedral and Old Post office to get our good shots for
our memory of the biggest city in Vietnam. Our delicious lunch will be
served at a “Pho 2000” restaurant in the central city. In the afternoon
we will visit: Ben Thanh market, Cho Lon, Chinese town and market. Here
you can experience our Vietnamese Southern daily life. We will be back
our hotel after visiting Giac Lam pagoda, one of the oldest and finest
pagodas in Ho Chi Minh City. It is really relaxation here. In
the morning we will leave Saigon for the Cu Chi tunnels, otherwise
known as the "Iron Triangle" or "Iron Land". On our way there we will
drive through pleasant countryside; rubber plantations and rice
paddies. Before entering the tunnels, we will see a short introductory
video showing how they were constructed, followed by an exploration of
the maze of tunnels, some of which have been widened to allow tourist
access. Also on display are various mantraps and the remains of an
American tank as well as numerous bomb craters made by 500lb bombs
dropped by B52 bombers. Next we drive to Tay Ninh near the Cambodian
border. This is home to the unique Cao Dai sect whose patron saints
include Joan of Arc, Victor Hugo and Winston Churchill to name but a
few. This religion is an odd mix of Buddhist, Taoist, Confucianism and
Christianity. Join Cao Dai worshippers for their daily noontide
ceremony where hundreds of worshipers attired in lively red, yellow
blue and white, chant religious hymns. Lunch and return to Ho Chi Minh
City.
Our trip starts from our hotel in Ho Chi Minh City and depart for Cai
Be town where we will take the boat ride through the natural canal,
view the stilt houses and the fruit plantation along the riversides.
Before boating to the river island where we will enjoy our delicious
lunch in the heart of the orchard, we visit the Cai Be wholesale fruit
market. After lunch, we continue on cruising through the natural canal
in island, and under the shadow of the water coconut trees. We also
visit the local family where we can experience the agricultural
lifestyle. Walking through the fruit plantation in An Binh Island, we
will take the rowing boat ride along the creeks before coming to Vinh
Long by motorized boat. Then we transfer to our vehicle to drive to Can
Tho city. Overnight at hotel in Can Tho. After
breakfast this morning, we will take the morning boat trip to visit the
Cai Rang floating market with the busy sense right at the time. Then we
keep on cruising through the small channels system, visit the rice
noodles making village. Let's try experience the "Monkey Bridge" in the
Mekong Delta before returning Ho Chi Minh city via Vinh Long to visit
the local snake market. The day at leisure until we take the van to airport for flight home. Today breakfast included Hanoi
