Presently, there are two coal companies developing this kind of tourism, Ha Tu (Hà Tu) and Nui Beo (Núi Béo). Absolutely different from what people may think of, tourism sights in coal areas are completely clean, without coal dust, and peaceful. Once reaching these places, tourists will be in uniform of miners, sit on special means of transport while witnessing exploiting sites, coal beds, etc. Next destination should be tradition house exhibiting a great variety of films, photos about history of coal exploitation industry since French time till present. Tourists then visit cultural works, enjoy artistic shows performed by miners, buy made-of-coal souvenirs.
At the end of the tour,
tourist will join a buffet with miners, then visit Quang Hanh mineral
brook -relaxation place of miners whew they can wallow themselves in
hot mineral water while enjoying mineral water which is processed and
distilled at mines.
People used to think of mines as limited
areas for tourists. Nevertheless, they turn out to be special places
for tourist that only Quang Ninh possesses. Coming back from these
tours, tourist get chance to experience real lives of miners, their
difficulties, fatigues and also happiness, pride when they are able to
make "black gold" to their country.
