Mau Son Mountain

Being located at 30 kilometres far from Lang Son City to the east, at the altitude of 1,541 metres, Mount Mau Son surrounded by hundreds of small mountains and mounds. In winter, the cloud usually covers Mau Son's peak during the season. On the contrary, during the summer time, the sunlight stretches to every corner of the region. In spring, this area becomes splendid with beautiful peach flowers. The peaches in Mau Son are big and sweet, much different from those planted in other places. The climate of Mau Son has brought this region "che tuyet" (a kind of tea) which has been very famous for a long time and the special dish "ech huong" (frog dish) of which the taste is so good that people once trying could not forget.

If the ethnic groups H'mong and Dao in Lao Cai have pride in Sa Pa, the people of Dao and Tay communities in Lang Son could smile proudly when mentioning Mau Son. Mau Son has become a beautiful resort area with vast and opulent villas which can be compared with the ones in Sa Pa, Tam Dao and in the near future, the tourism industry can grow steadily in this region.
