Khmer Museum was built in 1938, located on
the centre of Soc Trang town. It consists of an
old block (called Xa ma cum pagoda) which has
been restored now and a new block with
harmonious architecture. Through many rises and falls, this is now a
place where they display many valuable things in
nature which reflect Khmer ways of living during
many generations. Visitors can find here the
living and producing devices of Khmer people,
wedding dress, Festival dress, house design and
pagoda design. The things in nature conserved
carefully will help the visitors get more
knowledge about Khmer community which has gone
with struggle and construction process of Soc
Trang during several periods.
