Ceremony of high field: the thanks and the ground sacrifice in rest are organized on lunar December 15.
The two days' rites are almost similar. The first day is called Tuc Yet (Túc Yết) ceremony - day devoted to founders and those who have merit for the country as well as the temple. Then, it is the Chanh Te (Chánh Tế) ceremony, celebrated in the second night, during which the ritual invocation is marked to praise the merit of sky and earth, the divinity, wise persons and those who gathered people, founded the agglomeration and developed the production...
Generally, after the solemn rites, it is the festival. This part is more animated and merry in the temple festival. All the participants in correct dress take part, contemplate, interpret the folk games and plays as the cocks' combat, the ducks hunting, the fight with cord or body to body... all is to reflect a crowned and sublime culture.
The
festival participants can take part in activities as they want but
always politely and moderately. Each participant controls oneself and
avoids intoxication, singery and coarse words because, in this
festival, all aspects of the daily life were raised as crowned. The
crowned environment of the temple, quiet during the whole year, is
reproduced by man. In the fire of the candles, the five color flag, the
sound of drums and gongs, the participants' heart, is directed towards
this crowned space.
