MapEmbed SkyDoorMobile versionFacebook pageFeedbackIn the far away district named Dong Van, there is an
interesting destination; that is the edifice of Vuong Family (Vuong Chi
Sinh) belonging to the area of Sa Phin Ward. The precinct of this
edifice is not so large but it has rare and original architecture of
this plateau region. The stretch of road leading to the edifice has a
gentle slope and is tiled with huge flat square flagstones. The edifice
is surrounded by two rounds of walls which are 40 centimetres thick and
about 2 metres high. The inner layer is thicker and consequently more
solid than the outer one. They both have loopholes in the middle.
Between two rounds of walls is a 50-kilometre strip of land on which
bamboos are planted abundantly.

A house corner... |
The
edifice contains three houses on stilts. The major house faces to the
entrance and the two sub houses are perpendicular to the main house and
parallel to each other. All three ones are made of wood, from stilts,
floor, to wattle; and their roofs are from valuable types of wood. The
main house is the residence of the "king" of Vuong Family. The
horizontal lacquered board bestowed by King Nguyen still remains there.
The other ones are used for servers and sentinels.

Vuong Family's edifice is a good stop-over that can help you leave all strenuousness and fatigue after the long road visiting the high land of the North-Western which is precarious and hazardous. All the scenery of Vuong Family's edifice has exposed a solemn atmosphere of a silent landscape in the high land of the border area.
