Once visiting here, you should never miss chance to enjoy specialities of a half-mountain half-plain area of Ninh Binh: memorheedus sumatrensis (goat in the mountain). This kind of goat meat is prepared in many attractive ways such as: rare goat meat mixed with lemon (dê tái chanh), stir-fried goat meat (dê tái lăn), steam goat meat, grilled goat brisket, goat hotpot, etc especially goat meat enjoyed with burned rice which is memorised by most tourists once Ninh Binh is mentioned.

It may take one day (of two-day voyage) to discover Tam Coc - Bich Dong. The rest should be spent on Phat Diem (Phát Diệm) stone church, Kim Chinh sedge-mat village, Tri Chinh (Trì Chính) handicraft village with much exciting colours of utensils made of sedge and eichnoria.

In Kim Son (Kim Sơn), you will find yourself much fond of a dish mixed by nhech (nhệch) fish with vegetables enjoyed with very famous kind of local wine - rice alcohol (rượu đế)

After the second day of your voyage, you should be back to the city, starting your tour to Dinh (Đinh) King -Le (Lê) King - a historical monument, which is 10kms from the city. Then, you may drop in Bai Dinh (Bái Đính) pagoda, Dich Long (Địch Lộng) cavern in Gia Vien (Gia Viễn) district, Duc Thuy (Dục Thúy) mountain right at the centre of the city and rest at Trang An - Hoa Lu (Tràng An - Hoa Lư) resort. With 3-day voyage, you may get a panorama of Ninh Binh, soak yourself in nature, totally relax and give your mind a lot of peace.
